I am a qualified psychotherapist and a registered member of UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy). I trained at Metanoia Institute and I completed a Masters Degree in Gestalt Psychotherapy. I am covered by professional indemnity insurance and work under regular supervision. I abide by the Code of Ethics of UKCP.
I am committed to my own personal development and continue to expand my clinical skills through regular supervision and ongoing training.
I work primarily in English, but sessions can also be held in Italian.
I offer long and short term psychotherapy to adults, couples and adolescents.
As a practitioner I try to create a welcoming environment for the client where acceptance, trust and understanding go side by side with challenge, openness and exploration.
I believe there is a connection between a person`s relationship with herself and others and the healing process. I think that getting in touch with one`s feelings, needs and desires contributes to clarify and understand that connection. I am of the opinion that the bond between client and therapist is essential for the outcome of therapy.
I am interested in Existential Phenomenology, especially the works of Martin Heidegger, and I feel at ease in discussing existential themes like freedom, choice, responsibility, meaning and death.
